Thrombosis Summit 2008

The North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF) will convene its second annual “Thrombosis Summit” CME event . This 1-day symposium emphasizes clinical science and professional education and is intended to provide a concise, state-of-the-art overview of prophylaxis measures and critical developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of thrombotic disorders. Focused sessions in 5 key areas include 1) translational research, 2) clinical research, 3) prevention and education, 4) public policy, and 5) advocacy.

2008 Update on the Management of Thromboembolic Disorders

UC Davis will host a 4-day CME meeting for physicians and pharmacists that will focus on summarizing recent advances in the field of thromboembolic diseases including the new Standards For Prevention And Care Of VTE as performance measures. In addition, participants will be updated regarding the National Patient Safety Goals that The Joint Commission has created.
