Raise Public Awareness
- Raise Public Awareness in March by utilizing Pause for Prevention PSA ads and Web banners in your organization's materials. Access free materials for use in any public print or web outlet here. Professional materials are also available, with space to customize with your organization's logo.
- Encourage your members to share the link to our Risk Assessment Tool to create recognition of the risk factors for DVT and PE.
- Utilize the This is Serious Web site and videos to share real-life stories of women who have experienced DVT with your members and patients.
- Link to Healthcasts, including podcasts specific to DVT, in your electronic materials to increase understanding in March.
- Use our consumer slide presentation in community presentations about DVT.
Keep Your Members Informed About DVT and the Venous Disease Coalition
- Find easy-to-use presentations in our VTE Toolkit . Several relevant presentations can be downloaded and customized to include in your presentations. Feature the VTE Toolkit in your health professional journal or newsletter. Ask your regional and state chapters to share as well.
- Encourage members to utilize and share our Professional Events page for DVT Awareness events happening nationwide. If you have an event to share, please contact us at info@vdf.org to add your information to the page.
