Suman Rathbun MD, MS, FACP, RVT

Suman W. Rathbun MD, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center chairs the Education Committee of the Venous Disease Coalition. Dr. Rathbun is board-certified in internal medicine and vascular medicine and is director of the vascular medicine fellowship program at OUHSC.

She also is serves as director of the non-invasive vascular laboratories on the OUHSC campus. Dr. Rathbun’s clinical interests span all aspects of vascular disease including the care of patients with venous disorders, peripheral arterial disease, and lymphedema. Dr. Rathbun serves as principal investigator for a number of original research studies investigating novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for management of venous thromboembolism, and participates in the evaluation of new antithrombotic medications through phase III clinical trials. Nationally, Dr. Rathbun is trustee for the Society of Vascular Medicine and serves on the editorial board for the journal Vascular Medicine
